Work Status for Employees

Situation Update

As of Wednesday, September 16, 2020 1:36 PM EDT

Director statement regarding reporting for duty:
The Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center is currently operating under normal working status.

Flu shots are available for staff. Employees can talk to their service flu champion or go to Employee/Occ Health to receive a vaccine and to sign an appendix b. (Employee/Occ Health is at 1C-165)

All staff will be screened in addition to all patients. All staff are required to go through the screening process before entering the facility and reporting for duty.  PLEASE have a mask on BEFORE getting to a screener.

Staff are encouraged to use either of the two FAST PASS electronic screening methods.  (QR code or Texting methods) Using either method, you will need to complete the questionnaire each day, before arriving at the screener. The screeners will check the date before allowing to proceed.

As part of the medical center’s coronavirus source protection effort, all staff are required to wear a mask or face covering when inside medical center buildings, which includes CBOCs.

In addition to wearing a mask or face covering at all times when inside our buildings, all staff should practice source protection when anywhere else (outside) on a VA campus when social distancing cannot be achieved.
